By using VetGuide, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app or website. Apple’s standard App Store terms also apply to the iPhone app and in-app purchases.
Independent informational guide
VetGuide helps you locate topics, understand publicly available rules, prepare questions, and reach the official source. It cannot establish eligibility, service connection, an effective date, a disability percentage, entitlement to VR&E, or the outcome of a claim or review.
Sources, freshness, and corrections
VetGuide links factual benefits information to primary government sources and displays verification or effective dates where available. Laws, regulations, rates, agency procedures, and web pages can change after an entry is checked.
The official agency, current law or regulation, and written decision in your matter control if anything conflicts with VetGuide. Confirm time-sensitive information before relying on it. You can report an outdated or incorrect item with its page context and source.
Rating and payment estimates
The disability-rating center provides educational calculations based on entered scenarios, whole-person math, bilateral-factor rules, and the current rate tables represented in the app. Results are estimates and may not reflect all VA rules, evidence, adjudication, effective dates, dependent approvals, Special Monthly Compensation, TDIU, recoupment, offsets, or other case-specific factors.
Enter only ratings VA has assigned or a scenario you understand is hypothetical. Do not treat a calculated value as a promise of a VA award.
Private local case organizer
The case timeline is your manual record, not VA’s official record. VetGuide does not sync claim or appeal status. Use the linked VA tool for the authoritative status and save official confirmations outside VetGuide where appropriate.
You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter, your device security, and any exported or shared copy. Do not enter passwords, Social Security numbers, VA claim numbers, full medical records, or information you do not need for the organizer’s purpose.
Deleting the app, resetting the device, or losing device data may remove the organizer. VetGuide does not promise cloud backup or recovery.
Case Binder Plus
Public benefits research, official-source links, calculators, a starter timeline, raw export, deletion, and correction reporting remain free. Case Binder Plus adds unlimited timeline events and a formatted timeline-and-evidence handoff.
Case Binder Plus is an auto-renewing annual subscription offered at $4.99 per year in the United States, subject to the final localized price and availability shown by Apple. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation. The subscription renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel it through App Store subscription settings.
If Plus ends, existing local organizer data remains viewable, editable, exportable as raw data, and deletable as described in the app. Features and pricing may change in a future version, with App Store disclosures updated as required.
Acceptable use and intellectual property
You may use VetGuide for personal, lawful informational and organizational purposes. You may not attempt to interfere with the app or website, bypass purchase controls, introduce malicious code, impersonate Jim Does It or a government agency, or use VetGuide in a way that violates law or another person’s rights.
VetGuide’s original name, icon, interface, writing, and software are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Government materials and third-party trademarks remain the property of their respective owners. Links and factual citations do not imply endorsement.
Availability and limits
VetGuide is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, a particular benefit outcome, or that every source will remain reachable. Features may be corrected, updated, or discontinued.
To the extent permitted by law, Jim Does It is not liable for an agency decision, missed deadline, lost organizer data, third-party site action, or indirect or consequential loss arising from use of or inability to use VetGuide. Some jurisdictions do not allow all warranty or liability limitations, so those limits apply only to the extent allowed.
Urgent situations
VetGuide is not an emergency service. For immediate danger, call 911. Veterans and their loved ones can call 988 and press 1, text 838255, or use the official Veterans Crisis Line chat.
Changes and contact
These terms may be updated when the product or applicable requirements change. Continued use after an updated effective date means the new terms apply, except where additional notice or consent is required.
